Cheryl Primm "Sheri," of St. Charles, MO passed away June 1, 2022. She was born October 24, 1941 to LW "Bill" and Helen Early. Cheryl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Primm in 2001 and her parents. Jim and Cheryl were parents of Brian Primm, Christine (Kenny) Sutton, Mindy (Scott Kestler) Primm, and Craig (Tracy) Primm and grandparents of Kaley and Cole Sutton. She is survived by her sisters, Mitzie Douglas, Mickey Phegley, Marti McQuirk, and Kellie Early.
Cheryl fulfilled her Irish heritage by seeking fun and happiness in everyone and everything she pursued in life. Cheryl's favorite times were spent with children, grandchildren and friends at Baring Lake, the family home in St. Charles and traveling as much as possible.
Cheryl graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Quincy IL as an RN in 1962. She also graduated from Lindenwood University in 1994 with a BA in Health Care Administration. Cheryl was employed at St. Charles Clinic for 36 years as a staff nurse and Director of Nursing. Cheryl retired from SSM Health Care in 2007 as Director of SSM Nurse Registry. She was an active member for many years of the Missouri Nurses Association and also a former member and President of the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Cheryl worked for the Democratic party, at the side of her husband Jim, a former county official.
Cheryl enjoyed community and church involvement. She was an active participant in St. Anne Ladies Sodality, Eucharistic Minister and Resurrection choir at St. Peters Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, AAUW, St. Charles Friends of Birthright, and Lindenwood Alumni Association. She volunteered at the St. Charles Tourism Bureau and is a member of the St. Charles Landmarks Board. She was one of the staff at Volunteers in Medicine.
Memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers in Medicine, St. Peters Church and St. Aloysius Church.
