Alice Nelson

Nelson, Alice, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Fred Nelson; beloved daughter of the late Theodore and Flora Mecker; devoted mother of Kim (Donna) Nelson, Jane (Tom) Barry, and Christine Nelson; cherished grandmother of Ben, Diane, Casey, Dan, Zach, and Emily; treasured great-grandmother of Elliot, Howie, Barrett, Sam, Michael, and Violet. She is preceded in death by her sisters Helen, Bernice, and Dorothy.
Alice grew up in Perryville, Missouri, where she met her husband, Fred, of 54 years. She was an active church member, hospital volunteer, and long-time associate at Famous Barr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church in Weldon Spring, Missouri.
