Boyce Eugene “Gene” Blalock

Boyce Eugene "Gene" Blalock, treasured husband of Redia “Nadine” Blalock (nee: Menteer) of St. Peters, MO died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the age of 79. Gene was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mitchell and Maggie Blalock; five brothers: J.C, O'Neal, Burl, Daryl, and Mickie Blalock. He is survived by his son, Kenny Blalock; step children Debbi Menteer, Steve (Susan) Menteer; four brothers: Aulton - Robbins, NC, Wayne - Ozark Acres, AR, Bill - Udall, MO, Dick - Bay, AR; two sisters: Bernita Colbert - Jonesboro, AR, Pat Copeland - Bay, AR; three step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. Gene was born September 5, 1930 in Flint, MI. He and his family moved to the Bowman, AR area where he attended school. Later they moved to Nettleton, AR where he continued school and later worked at Caldwell Ice Cream Co. in Jonesboro, AR. Gene moved to St. Louis, MO where he lived in and around for many years of his life. He retired from Cupples Manufacturing Co. and resided in St. Peters the remainder of his life. He was of the Baptist belief.
