Catherine Schumacher

Catherine Schumacher, (nee: Sheahan), of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at the age of 89.  Loving wife of the late Jack S. Schumacher; beloved daughter of the late Michael and Delia Sheahan; devoted mother of Mark (Mary) Schumacher and Keith (Linda) Schumacher; cherished grandmother of Michael (Madison) Schumacher, Garrett Schumacher, Grant Schumacher, and Taylor Schumacher; dear sister-in-law of Marilyn Sheahan, Audrey Sheahan, Ruth Sheahan, and Patricia Whelan.  Catherine is also survived by Bob (Vallie) Hunt, who was adored like a son and is loved by the whole family; her dear and close friend, Katie Marlatt; and her dear neighbors Lela Zimmer and LuAnn Suscheck.  She was a dear aunt and friend to many others. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Sheahan, James Sheahan, and Patrick Sheahan.

Catherine was a homemaker who was full of life.  She enjoyed caring for others and formerly volunteered for the Muscular Sclerosis Foundation, Meals on Wheels, and Halls Ferry Nursing Home.  She loved cooking, working on crossword puzzles, and playing games on her iPad.  She was a Jeopardy game show enthusiast.  She truly cherished spending time with her family.  Catherine was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
