Charlene Werntz

Charlene Werntz, (nee: Nichols) of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018, at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late Charles "Chuck" W. Werntz; beloved daughter of the late Everett and Ursulee Nichols; devoted mother of Stephen (Caryl) Werntz and Terri Leahey; cherished grandmother of Sean (Angie) Leahey, Ret. Gunnery Sgt. Todd (Stephanie) Leahey, Jennifer (Brett) Wilmes, Aaron (Andy) Werntz, and Amy (Danny) Piassick; treasured great-grandmother of Trinity & Charles Leahey, Olivia & Kennedy Wilmes, Andrew Leahey, and Lexie Correa; dear sister Jeannie (Robert) Watts. She is preceded in death by her sister, Todi (Lt. Col. William Christian) Christian.

Charlene loved traveling with her family and visiting her grandchildren. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Ferguson. Charlene was the secretary of the guidance office at Ferguson Jr. High for more than 20 years before her retirement. She enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, and entertaining others. Charlene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
