Charles O. Shaffer

"Charlie", of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the age of 71. Dearest husband of Marilyn Shaffer; dear son of the late Charles O. Shaffer, Sr. and the late Cora Shaffer; cherished father of Kim (Kern) Swafford, Chuck (Karla) Shaffer, Michael (Julie) Shaffer and family, Suzanne (Carrell) Parks and family, and Kristy Ward and family; treasured grandfather of Jared, Tanner and Avery; dear brother of James (Karen) Shaffer; beloved brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He is preceded in death by his brother, David Shaffer. Charlie was a Shipping Supervisor for Smurfit Stone Container in Hazelwood, Missouri, for 30 years. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in O'Fallon and a member of Mizpah Masonic Lodge #639.
