Curtis Clifton of O’Fallon, MO, passed Sunday, May 20, 2018, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 17 years to Yukona Fox; cherished son of the late Clyde J. and Myrtle M. Clifton; devoted father of Clyde Clifton, Calvin (Jean Marie) Clifton, Chad (Pam) Clifton, and step-father of David (Terry) Laughlin and Denise Laughlin; loving grandfather of eight; treasured great-grandfather of one; and dear uncle, relative, and friend to many. Curtis is also preceded in death by his grandson David W. Schaub, Jr.; brother Raymond Clifton; and sisters Lillian Robertson, Lois Patterson, Verna Henning.
Curtis dedicated many years at McDonell Douglas. He was an active and long-time member of First Baptist Church of O’Fallon. He was a member of Lodge 46 AF & AM Wentzville and Scottish Rite of Valley of St. Louis. Curtis had a big personality, always kind and generous to all who crossed his path and loved talking to everyone he met. He was also known to be a big jokester, causing laughter all around. His hobbies included collecting coins, bird watching, playing golf, and watching old films, especially those staring John Wayne. Above all else Curtis loved his family and enjoying time with his grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
