Dalton I. Lee

Dalton "Gene" Lee, age 79, of O'Fallon, MO died on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Blanchette Place Care Center in St. Charles, MO. He was born on October 21, 1928 in Lesterville, Missouri to the late Sherman and Naomi Shrum Lee. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Irene E. (Scheibe), sons: Denny (Bernadette) of Roeland Park, KS, Dave (Patty) of Edwardsville, IL, and Jeff (Donna) of O'Fallon, MO; daughters: Lisa of O'Fallon, MO and Laura (Stan) Skillington of Lebanon, IN; and 12 grandchildren: Jaclyn, Autumn, Dominique, Katherine, Annie, Jon, Rachel, Erin, Phillip, Charlotte, Leah, and Natalie. Gene leaves behind two brothers: Willard Lee and Ivan Lee; and four sisters: Velma Jordan, Wanda Arras, Melba Hoesli, and Dolores Brandt. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings. Gene served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952. He worked in the plumbing supply industry, starting "Gene Lee Sales Co." in 1972 and retiring in 2000. Gene's passion in life was spending time with his family and watching his children play soccer.
