Diane K. Ford (nee Buse), of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the age of 67. Loving wife of 44 years to Daniel J. Ford; beloved sister of Debbie (Mike) Franklin; dear aunt of Katie Franklin, Ronnie Zika, Mike Zika, Jason King, Michelle King Holiway, Wayne Ford, Andy Ford, Erica Ford, Ricky Ford, and Bobbie Kramer; beloved niece of Carmen Weber. She is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family members. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dorothy (nee Schumpe) Buse.
Diane was a life long resident of St. Charles and she graduated from St. Charles High School in 1969. On January 5, 1974 she married Dan and they spent 44 loving years together. Diane lived a life of love, faith, and happiness. She had a passion for cross-stitching and spent over 20 years working on Main Street in St. Charles where she brightened everyone’s day with her smile and kindness. In recent years, she became deeply involved in St. Louis Scottie Rescue, adopting 3 Scotties and handling many transports for other Scotties being rescued. Diane and Dan loved spending their winters in Cape Canaveral, Florida enjoying their friends, the sunshine, and beach. Diane took pride in caring for her hummingbirds each year and especially loved caring for her Scotties, Darby and Atticus, and taking them on daily walks around their neighborhood. Dan meant everything to Diane and they made the absolute perfect pair. They made each other laugh and always took care of one another. Diane’s love for her sister, Debbie, was endless, they were the best of friends; and she was the most devoted and loving "Di" to Katie. Diane was a fierce friend to many and her heart and smile impacted each life she touched.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or St. Louis Scottish Terrier Rescue, 7125 W. Florissant Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63136.
