Shownes, Dorothy "Dot", of St. Louis, Missouri, died on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the age of 83. Dearest wife of Leo Curtis Shownes; dear daughter of the late Charles Bowling and Anna Louise Trantham; cherished mother of Kenneth R. Moore, Judy Schwent, Larry A. Moore, Brenda Fenimore, Ronald Shownes and Linda Maniaci; beloved grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of several; dear sister of Liz Oppermann, John Trantham, Pat Miller and the late James and Fred Trantham and Betsy Rawie. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
