Elizabeth Mary Szoko

Memorials may be made to Salvation Army or Masses. Szoko, Elizabeth "Betty," of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late William Szoko; mother of Carol Lund, grandmother of Gregory A. and Dwayne B. Lund, and great-grandmother of Ashley, William, Jacob, Elizabeth, and Joshua Lund; mother of Dr. Edward (Jean) Szoko and grandmother of Stephanie E. Bilecan, Michael E. and Nicholas A. Szoko. She is preceded in death by Mary Elizabeth, sister. She was a Duplicate Bridge Life Master and the Owner/Director of the St. Charles Duplicate Bridge Club for 25 years. She was a tax preparer for Tax Teller/Tax Express for 30 years. Her volunteer activities included serving as District Director for the Girl Scouts, as a member of the Ladies of the Boys Club that helped finance the building of the present Boys and Girls Club, and for many other organizations throughout St. Charles County.
