Eric Edwin Wessel

Wessel, Eric Edwin, of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO at the age of 45 years, 7 months and 9 days. He was born in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late Roy E. Wessel and Jean Wessel. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy E. Wessel; grandparents, Edwin and Irma Wessel; and grandfather, Roland Clements. He is survived by his grandmother, Grace Clements; mother, Jean Wessel; wife, Emma Lou Wessel; stepson, Jeff McCorkle; stepdaughter, Annie Christain and daughter-in-law, Marcia Kear. Also surviving are his sister, Robin Hudelson, brother, Scott Wessel; brothers-in-law, Rick Hudelson, Warren Gibson, John Rodgers, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Grace Gibson. He will be deeply missed by his two nephews, Nick Hudelson and Chris Gibson; and two nieces, Renee Murray and Amber Hudelson. He was a dear nephew of Joan and Bob Cox and Bob and Donna Hartmann. Eric was employed at AT&T for the past 23 years and he was loved and respected by many friends and coworkers.
