Florence May Prusick

Florence May Prusick, 92 years old, entered eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, March 7, 2016, in New Braunfels, Texas.

Florence was born a twin, December 9, 1923, to Everett Albertson and Ida Dambach, in Vienna, Missouri. She had many memories and shared cherished stories about her childhood in Vienna.

As a very young adult, Florence relocated to St. Louis, and eventually married Walter Prusick, on October 26, 1946. They had 3 children, Carolyn (Susan), Elaine and Judith. Walter died on September 25, 1964, she was widowed at the age of 40. Florence never remarried. She retired from Wagner Electric, one of St. Louis’s most prominent manufacturers of small engines. She remained in St. Louis until November of 2015, when she relocated to San Antonio, Texas to live out her remaining days with family.

She is survived by 3 sisters, Bonnie (Ralph) Wiles, Betty (Wayne) Webb, Lillian Dickneite; 1 daughter Carolyn "Susan" (Arthur) Barnhart; 5 grandchildren, Richard (Ann) Kurland, Bridget (Armand) Magallanez, Jennifer Lowe, Matthew Peak and Mark (Jennifer) Peak; 7 great-grandchildren, Brittny Kurland, Olivia Kurland, Haley Kurland, Autumn Magallanez, Armand Magallanez, II., Alexis Magallanez and Dylan Peak; 2 great-great- grandchildren, Mallory Magallanez and Mila Magallanez; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Florence was preceded in death, but has joyfully been reunited with her beloved husband, Walter Prusick; daughters Elaine Peak and Judith Lowe; parents, Everett and Ida Albertson; her brother Bobby Albertson; twin brother Lawrence Albertson; sisters, Rose Albertson and Elsie Frank, grandson; Jeffrey Kurland; niece Brenda Carter; and other extended family members.
