Harry H. Rouse Jr., of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the age of 95. Loving husband of the late Lois M. Rouse; beloved son of the late Minnie (nee: VonDoren) Rouse and the late Harry H. and Mary (nee: Schmitt) Rouse, Sr.; devoted father of Sharon S. (Dave) Phillips and Doris A. Vandiver; cherished grandfather of 7; treasured great-grandfather of 9; dear brother of Irma Gevers. Harry served in the Navy during WWII from 1943-1945, while serving on the USS Gambier Bay, he went into battle and the ship sunk in enemy waters on October 25, 1944, he was in the water for 2 days and nights before he was rescued. Harry was called back to serve in the Korean Conflict. When he was discharged from serving his country, he went on to become a Prudential Insurance Agent from 1953 until he retired in 1980. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Fisher House
