Jack W. Lay, was born March 5, 1952 in Lindsey, California and passed away on November 22, 2013 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father Emanuel (Scotty) Lay and his sister Linda (Lay) Collins. Jack is survived by his wife Martha Lay, his mother Peggy Lay, his stepson and stepson's wife Jason and Brandy Dansby, his grandchildren Dakota, Taylor, Summer, Chandler, Saylor, Piper, and Gabriel, his niece Kim White, and his nephew Scott Collins. Jack was born in California, moved to Texas at an early age, and then moved back to West Covina, California when he was ten. He joined the Marines in 1971, and served for two years in Vietnam and the Philippines. Jack was an over the road truck driver for over thirty years. He was introduced to the Lord in 1978 by his sister, Linda Collins. He became a member of the United Pentecostal church in Riverside California, pastored by Rev. Lee Davis. He attended there for fifteen years then he and his wife, Martha Lay, relocated to Missouri in 1994, to be near their son and grandchildren. They attended Bethel Pentecostal church, pastored by Rev. Jonathon Urshan, for fifteen years. They then moved to the Sanctuary, pastored by Rev. Timothy Dugas, and Rev. Scott Graham, in 2010. Jack's family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support.
