John A. McDonald

McDonald, John A., of O’Fallon, MO, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Leslie A. McDonald; cherished son of the late Charles R. McDonald and Rita A. Perry; devoted father of John Jr. (Erin) McDonald and Patrick McDonald; dear stepfather of Edward Keefe and Michael (Susan) Keefe; loving grandfather of six; treasured great-grandfather of one; and dear brother of David Perry, Robert (Kris) Harwood, Julia (Paul) McDonald, Kirby (Marcia) McDonald, and Stephen McDonald. He was a loving brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

John had a twenty-year career with the United States Navy. He also worked at NOAA in Silver Springs, MO for ten years. He was very active in his church and community. In his free time, he enjoyed reading science fiction books, watching science fiction movies, visiting art galleries, collecting art glass, and enjoying Merlot wines. John was very devoted to his wife and his family. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
