Kenneth “Ken” Gault, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017, at the age of 75. Loving husband of 53 years to Martha Gault (Nee: Boone); beloved son of the late Joseph Reese and Ruth Gault; devoted father of Pamela Gault and Kimberley (Dale) Reinhold; cherished grandfather of Ashlyn, Nicholas, and Jeffrey; dear brother of Jean (Mike) Forbes, and Bill (Martha) Gault and brother-in-law of Arthur Boone Jr. (Wanda); beloved uncle and friend to many.
Ken graduated from the University of Tennessee and then went to work for McDonnell- Douglas/ Boeing as an engineer. While there he designed inertial navigation systems for several large military defense projects. He worked on the F-15, AV-8B/ Harrier II and stealth fighter aircraft programs, among others. After he retired, he researched and authored a comprehensive family tree that showed Scotch-Irish roots and several military heroes.
He had a love for all things with wheels including his 1963 ½ Galaxy, his Camaro, and his many motorcycles. This love went as far as a rivalry with Kimberly over Ford versus Chevrolet. Motorcycling was a big part of his life and was what led him to meet his best friend. He greatly enjoyed going out for a ride up until just a few months ago.
Ken loved spending time with his family. He liked going out to eat, often, with Martha, arguing politics with Pamela and giving Kimberly a hard time about the “48.” He had a passion for learning and explaining how the world works; he passed this trait along to his children and grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
