Kenneth R. Wideman of Saint Charles, MO, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the age of 87. Loving husband of Lawanda Wideman; beloved son of the late Riley and Clara Wideman; devoted father of Sherri Kerbel, Robbin S. (Larry) Long, and Jeffrey K. (Sheri) Wideman; treasured grandfather of Charity A. (Jason) Theen, Michael Long, Brandon (Shannon) Long, Caleb Wideman, Madisyn Wideman, Zachary Wideman, and Sienna Wideman. Ken is also survived by many other extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ed Cange.
Ken earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Southeast Missouri College, where he met his wife of 65 years, Lawanda. He proudly served his country in the Naval Reserves for six years, and then active duty in the Marines during the Korean War. He, then, went on to work as an auditor at McDonnell Douglas for over 25 years before retiring in 1989, at the age of 61. Ken was an active member of Fee Fee Baptist Church for over 60 years where he was a counselor, Sunday School teacher, Deacon, RA leader, choir director, and helped with financing the church building. In his spare time, Ken enjoyed making crafts of all kinds, working around the house, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wideman home on July 16 from 1:00-4:00 pm
