After graduation from Frances Howell High, he began working in manufacturing and retired from that in 2007. He was an accomplished gardener, loved to work in his shed on various projects, and enjoyed his hunting trips during deer season.
Always quick with a joke and smile, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. With a special thanks to neighbor Julie Boyd, for stopping in and checking on him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
There will be a luncheon at the family home following the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Papa Ray's life.
