Louis Oscar Phillips

Louis Oscar "Jr" Phillips, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the age of 81. Longtime companion of Ruth Gantney; devoted father of Steve Phillips and Susan (Sam Schmidt) Phillips; cherished grandfather of Brooke (Chris) Wehmeyer and Nick DuFrenne; treasured great-grandfather of Baylie and Micah; and dear brother of Franklin (Mary Ann) Phillips. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar Adam Phillips and Martha Phillips, and siblings Eunice Whiteside, Isabelle Luetkenhaus, Calvin Phillips, Marlin Phillips, and Lucille Tiedmann.
Jr was an active lifelong member of St. John United Church of Christ. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 312, Masonic Lodge (past Master), MechanicsVille #260, and life member and past Commander of VFW 2866. He also proudly served in the United States Army During the Korean War. Jr was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
