Mable Christine Matteson

Mable Christine Matteson (nee Cate), of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Lawrence D. “Pop” Matteson; cherished daughter of the late Roy Cate and the late Ida Blanche Hudspeth; dear stepdaughter of the late Atha Hudspeth; devoted mother of Donna Jean Matteson and the late Larry Wayne Matteson; proud grandmother of Deanna (Greg) Kuhn, Shon Matteson, Brandy (James) Lerch, Alex (Lindsay) Schupmann, Wendy Matteson, Kelly Matteson, and Andrea Matteson; treasured great-grandmother of 9 and the late Nikola Lerch; and loving sister of Virginia (Vernon) Bates, Rachel (James) Powers, the late Lucille (Richard) Matteson, and the late Geraldine Dillon; and dear stepsister of the late Lois N. Hudspeth.

Christine worked at Emerson Electric for 10 years and MG Drug for 13 years. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family and home. Christine loved playing UNO and telling stories. She also enjoyed riding her scooter. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
