Margaret Betsinger

December 11, 1939 — September 24, 2015

Betsinger, Margaret A., (nee: Oelklaus) of Saint Charles, MO, died on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the age of 75. Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Oelklaus; devoted mother of Bryon (Sheryl) Betsinger and Alicia (Daniel) Schroeder; cherished grandmother of Bryon J.(Sarah) Betsinger, Matthew Betsinger, Randy Betsinger, Elizabeth Betsinger, and Gabriel Schroeder; and dear sister of Alicia Bange, Edward (Judy) Oelklaus, and Richard Oelklaus. She is preceded in death by her brother Thomas Oelklaus, sister-in-law Sandy Oelklaus, brother-in-law Arthur Bange, and ex-husband Richard Betsinger.

Margaret graduated as a registered nurse in 1960 from St. John’s School of Nursing. She also served in the Air Force and Air Force Reserve as 1st Lieutenant. She served as a nurse in the Air Force in Illinois, Germany, and South Dakota. She continued nursing in Ohio in nursing homes and then later in her career became an Oncology nurse. She relocated to Missouri and was a charge nurse of the Oncology Unit at DePaul Hospital. She was a member of American Legion Post 312.
