Mary J. Browne

October 20, 1925 — October 11, 2020

Mary J. Browne of Florissant, MO, passed away at the age of 94 on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Browne; her parents, Roland and Elizabeth Temmel; and her siblings, Roman and Lucille Temmel.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Paul) Korte; and her grandchildren, Kevin and Alexander Korte.

Mary worked as a supervisor at Western Union until she retired and, after retirement, worked in security at Lambert Airport and the jewelry department at Venture Stores. She was fond of going to the casino to spend time trying her luck at the games. An avid reader, Mary always liked to sit down with a good book and spend the day getting lost in a story. She enjoyed her service as an election judge and took the responsibility of her position seriously. There was a special place in Mary’s heart for animals and she had great affection for all of them, especially dogs. She was a beloved aunt, great-aunt, and sister-in-law who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
