Melvyn “Mel” Warnhoff

Warnhoff, Melvyn "Mel", of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the age of 75. Loving husband of Linda Warnhoff; beloved son of the late George and Emma Warnhoff; devoted father of Monica Lynn Warnhoff; cherished grandfather of Kelsi A. Hill; dear brother of Janet Sue Burkhart, Gary (Glenda) Warnhoff, Pat (Don) Hilgers, Edwin (Jackie) Hertlein, Jr., Joyce (Ken) Budt, and Linda (Murray) Meierhoff; He is preceded in death by his foster parents Edwin and Irene Hertlein, Sr., and his sister Glenda Schmidt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of many friends. Mel worked in the micrographics department as a manager with McDonnell Douglas for 44 years.
Mel grew up in Cuba, Missouri. He was a member of St. Charles Jaycees and served as treasurer, and as a JCI Senator. He also served as member and treasurer of Trappers of Starved Rock, and member, treasurer, and trustee of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
