Paul McNees

Paul C. McNees of Pinole, California, died on Monday, May 9, 2011 at the age of 92. Devoted father of Paul (Annida Brunato) and loving uncle of Roger (Sue) Bell, Jane Dohrmann and Judy Benne. A native of North Washington, Pennsylvania, Paul settled in St. Louis, Missouri after serving in the Army/Air Corps during WWII. Attending a USO dance at Jefferson Barracks, he met Dorothy Benne (McNees) who would soon become his wife of 48 years. His beloved wife passed away in 1991. Working as an insurance agent for over 35 years, he raised a son, Paul L. McNees and provided a wonderful home and life for his small family. Paul continued to dance until he was 90 years old. Paul is remembered by all he touched as a good natured, generous spirit who loved to laugh and joke, never had an unkind word to say, and believed most of all in the strength of the human heart to endure all that came in its path. A resident at Pinole Senior Village for the past four years, he had the blessings of being close to his son Paul and daughter-in-law Annida Brunato for the remaining years of his life. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association.
