Ralph Anthony Jacobsen Jr.

April 24, 1934 — May 27, 2021

Ralph Anthony Jacobsen Jr. of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away at the age of 87 on Thursday, May 27, 2021.  Loving husband of 38 years to Sally Jacobsen; beloved son of the late Ralph and Lillian Jacobsen; devoted father of Diana Harper, Christopher (Brenda) Jacobsen, Michelle (Rick) Gale, Jody (Jill) Jacobsen, Linda Hernandez, Mary Beth (Jim) Edmondson, Charles (Kim) Jacobsen, Bettina Jacobsen, and David (Angela) Jacobsen; dear step-father of Henry (Lara) Abler; cherished grandfather of 24 grandbabies; treasured great-grandfather of many; dearest brother of Patricia (Brian) Ochs; and brother-in-law of Donald Dickherber and Doris Jacobsen.

Ralph was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Ann Dickherber, Mary Lou (Gary) Keely, Dorothy (James) Siller, William Jacobsen Sr., Rudolph Jacobsen, and John Jacobsen.

Ralph was a very skilled carpenter and retired after more than 60 years in his trade.  Throughout the many years he worked in construction and owned his business, he was considered to be a fair and honest businessman.  Ralph never took a shortcut and was very meticulous, which his clients truly appreciated and enjoyed doing business with him.

As an outdoorsman, Ralph enjoyed camping and riding his bike.  He liked to go to the botanical gardens with his wife, and spend time outdoors at the wineries.  He was fond of traveling to visit family, though not so much the actual part in getting there.  However, once he was at his destination, he truly enjoyed the time with everyone.

Ralph loved the Dallas Cowboys and watched their games on television.  He also liked to watch movies, especially old Westerns and the Lone Ranger.  In his spare time, he could be found reading his favorite author Danielle Steel, and he had just about every one of her novels.

More than anything, Ralph loved his family, especially his grandbabies.  He will be remembered for his good nature and how he was always there to help.  He had a sense of humor all his own. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ralph’s name to the American Lung Association.

Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
