Vossen, Ralph C. of St. Charles, MO, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the age of 88. Cherished son of the late Henry and Wilhelmina “Minnie” Vossen; beloved father of Mark (Laurie) Vossen, Matt (Mari) Vossen, Marysue (John) Bobzien, Melanie (Robin) Mitra, Bart (Sharon) Vossen, Amy (Paul) Vossen Vukelic, Michele (Dawn Bowden) Vossen, Suzanne (David) Kasten, and Teresa (Gary Bucci) Vossen; loving and proud grandfather of 21; and treasured great-grandfather of four. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Vossen and John "Bud" Vossen; is survived by loving sister-in-law Helen DeBroeck Vossen.
Ralph was the Vice Principal of Normandy Sr. High School for over 25 years and a Resident Director at Lindenwood University. He was a gifted and talented athlete. He coached and announced football games, umpired high school baseball, and taught driver’s education. He was a member of AA for over 30 years. Ralph was a very generous person who enjoyed dixieland music, was a saxophonist, and a drummer. He was deeply loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family expresses deep gratitude to the staff of Fairwinds and most importantly the staff of the Missouri Veterans Home, wing C-100, for the love and compassion shown to our father in his last months here on earth.
