In January, 2007, he was honored by becoming the first inductee into the Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association's Hall of Fame. In addition, in March, he received a commendation from the Missouri Department of Transportation for his many years of service on the department's Pavement Design and Type Selection committee. In June, he was honored by the Missouri Waste Control Coalition at its annual meeting for his contributions toward improved waste management practices and wise use of natural resources.
