Roy James Hansford

Roy James Hansford, of Weldon Spring, MO, died Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Manae Hansford; cherished son of the late James Hansford and the late Susan Carter; devoted father of Robert (Debra) Hansford, Richard (Leah) Hansford, and Deborah (Chris) Cannon; loving grandfather of Lynn (Ray) Andrews, Margaret (Jason) Orf, Roy White, Barbara Hansford, Richard (Maggie) Hansford, Elizabeth Hansford, and Crystal (Dennis) Stevens; treasured great-grandfather of Heidi Rademeyer, Chance Orf, Logan Orf, Hayden Orf, Henry Hansford, Sebastian Hansford, Oliver Hansford, Leah Andrews, Farrah Andrews, Jace Steven, Brayden Green, and Ellie Dennis. He is also survived by his former daughter-in-law, Irene Gobel. Roy was also preceded in death by his grandchildren, Michael James and Ellie Hansford, two brothers and four sisters.

Roy was a mechanic at Crown Cork & Seal for over 30 years. He was also a member of Oakridge Baptist Church. Roy loved the outdoors. In his free time, he could often be found building bird houses, tending to his garden and fruit trees or swimming. He had a special love for animals of all kinds. A heartfelt thanks to Bob and Debra for tenderly caring for Roy over the past 5 years.
