Ruth R. Schmidt

Ruth R. Schmidt of St. Charles, Missouri, passed Friday, April 6, 2018, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Joseph O. Schmidt; cherished daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Maggie Funkhouser; devoted mother of Pamela (Al) Frazier, Doug (Kathy) Ruebel, and Kirk S. (Julie) Schmidt; loving grandmother of Heather, Becky, Matt, Chris, Meghan, Stefanie, and Jeremy; and treasured great-grandmother of two. Ruth is also preceded in death by her siblings Ray, Harry, Tempe, Jody, and Maggie Funkhouser.
Ruth kept very active with her multiple memberships including ABC Bowling and TOPPS-Weight Loss. She was a past member of Bethel Baptist and Bellefontaine Baptist Church and devout in her faith. She enjoyed bowling, singing in the church choir, enjoying nature while camping, and visiting others from church.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society in Ruth’s honor.
