Thomas John Dowd

Dowd, Jr., Thomas John, of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the age of 70. Loving husband of the late Mary Lou Dowd (nee: Karch); dear son of the late Thomas and Mary Ann Dowd, Jr.; devoted father of Cynthia (Anthony) Dowd-Palmer, Jessica Dowd, Ann (David) Schneider, and Matthew Dowd; cherished grandfather of Elliott, Oliver, and Weston Palmer, Isaac, Coleman, and Ava Albright, Elijah, Vincent, and Marley Schneider, Brayden Dowd, and the late Elijah John Palmer; dear brother of Kathy (the late Tom) Brady, Sharon (Steve) Zerillo, Mary Ann Johnson, Elizabeth (Tom) Allensworth, John Dowd, and the late Michael "Mick" Dowd; dear brother-in-law of Glenda Dowd; former father-in-law of Matthew Albright. Thomas was employed as a Pipefitter for many years and was a member of Local 562. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, and sports. But his main passion in life was first and foremost his family. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
