Fagan, Thomas W., of Chesterfield, MO, died on Saturday July 11, 2015, at the age of 77. Loving husband of Phyllis (Bollinger) Fagan; devoted father of Mary (Gary) Benne, Kathleen (John) Salvo, Mike (Cindy) Fagan, Maggie (Doug) Rothermich, Colleen (Tony) Chance, and Heather (Brian) Thies; cherished grandfather of Michael (Amy) Salvo, Kyle (Audra) Salvo, Corey Salvo, Ashley (David) Gusewelle, Marcus (Alissa) Rothermich, Paul Rothermich, Brittany Benne, Kayla Benne, Anthony Chance, Jackson Chance, Ella Chance, Nick (Stacy) Padgett, Rhiannon (Mark) Antoniou, Edwin Padgett, Emma Thies, and Miles Thies; treasured great-grandfather of 9 grandchildren with 3 on the way; and dear brother of Patrick (Patricia) Fagan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helen Fagan; his first wife, Margaret (Murphy) Fagan, and one daughter, Patricia 'Patsy' Fagan.
Business Manager/Financial Secretary Tom Fagan of Local 1439, IBEW retired June 30, 2000. Tom was a member of Local 1439 since April of 1960. He served the Local as Steward, Executive Board member, delegate to the International Convention, Business Representative, and Business Manager/Financial Secretary. Tom also spent some time with the St. Louis Labor Council as COPE (Committee on Political Education) Director. He served on various committees at the International Union level and at the State Utility conference. Brother Fagan participated in many other community organization activities and participated and assisted in numerous political campaigns and functions. He was a well-received representative of the Labor Movement wherever he went. Tom was also very proud of his 25 years of work as a Lineman for Ameren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
