Beck, Virginia L. (NEE: Sonday), of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the age of 89. Virginia was born on December 1, 1923 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Viola Achelpohl Dierker and Kenneth Sonday. Mrs. Beck was baptized on June 13, 1924 and confirmed on March 21, 1937 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She married Thomas "Rudy" Beck on September 20, 1947. Mrs. Beck retired as a Legal Secretary to Andrew McColloch where she worked for 32 years. She also had been employed since 1945 at the TNT Plant, Weldon Springs; Mallinckrodt Chemical, Weldon Springs; Atomic Energy Commission, Weldon Springs; Veterans Administration, San Diego, California; and secretary to Mayor Henry Vogt, St. Charles and City Clerk, Frank Brockgreitens, St. Charles. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 44 years; St. Joseph Health Center Volunteer; YMCA Arthritis Water Swim Class and Immanuel Lutheran Church. She is survived by three daughters, Susan (Howard) Dinkelman, Nancy (Richard) Boerding, and Kathy (Jim) Wells; grandchildren, Christopher (Elizabeth) Dinkelman, Aaron Dinkelman, Jared (Angela) Dinkelman, Zachary Jorn, Noah Beck, and Samantha Wells; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashlyn, Colten, Lily, Hunter, and Julia; cousins, in-laws and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Rudy" Beck; her mother, Viola Dierker; her step-father, George Dierker and her father, Kenneth Sonday.
