Jim was born on October 12, 1943 in Hawarden, IA the son of Bill and Margaret Brown. He worked for Ozark Airlines for 25 years and went onto TWA after the merger for 13 years. He held many positions from Peoria Reservations to Station Manager in St. Louis, along with working ticket counter, being a ramp agent and mail sorter.
On Dec. 5, 1967 he married Patricia Ann Parker. She was an Ozark Airline flight attendant when they met. Jim enjoyed hunting, gardening, feeding and watching the birds, building and repairing, but most of all he loved to travel. He enjoyed the challenge of setting up all the travel plans himself and seeing all the wonders of the world. He was an active member of St. CharlesBorromeoChurch.
His family was the most important thing to him. He was a devoted husband, loving father and warm hearted grandfather. He is survived by wife Pat and their 4 children: Tonya Brown (son Parker), Todd Brown, Travis Brown (wife-Tracey, children '“ Jason, Veronica and Emily), Tara Thater (husband '“ Stacey, children '“ Maggie and Marvin). Jim is also survived by two sisters MaryLee (Jim) Brygger of Sioux City, IA and Deanna (Steve) Trexel of Coaldale, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the SitemanCancerCenter or Mass Intention at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Parish.
