Adele A. Renken

Adele Alice Renken, age 89, of St. Charles, Missouri, died Saturday, December 19, 2009, at her residence. A Daughter of the late Edwin Gronefeld and the late Ella Gronefeld (nee: Diekamp), Adele was born on March 2, 1920, in Harvester, Missouri. Adele was married to her husband, Ralph Gustave Renken and together they have spent 70 wonderful years. Prior to her retirement Adele worked in the office at J.C. Penney. She retired after 23 years of service. Adele is survived by her husband, Ralph; her loving children, Richard (Judith) Renken, Rosemary (Kevin) Mallon, and Roger Renken; cherished grandmother of Lynn White, Christine Blozis, and Ann Renken; cherished great-grandmother of Molly and Emily White, Jeremy, Michael, Tyler, Cameron, Riley, and Ethan Blozis, She was a dear mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. Adele was preceded in death by her two brothers Elmer and Martin Gronefeld; and her two sisters, Edna Hemsath and Ellen Horstmeier. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at 10:00 AM at Baue Funeral Home Chapel, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO. Interment at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
