Adelia J. Phillips

Adelia J. Phillips of Bowling Green, Missouri, passed away at the age of 92 on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pait Ernest Phillips, Sr.; her children, Patrick Edward Phillips and Pait Ernest Phillips, Jr.; her parents, Edward Shull and Adelia White Shull; two sisters Helen Forrest, Hazel Shull; and brother James A. Shull.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Oscar) Simmons; her granddaughter, Charisse (Tom) King; her great-grandchildren, Pait and Cody King; her nephew, Jim Shull and her niece, Debi Barker; and other loving nieces and nephews.

Adelia was a woman of deep faith who loved her Lord. She was a former member of Dardenne Prairie Baptist Church and in recent years belonged to Edgewood Baptist Church. Adelia had a selfless, generous soul, and was always willing to help however she could, and her warmth and kindness meant that she never met a stranger. Her passions in life included growing beautiful things in her garden or embroidering wonderful pieces. Friends and family will always remember her as a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be dearly missed.
