Agnes Marie Hoffman (nee Eisenbath) passed away peacefully on November 9, 2017, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loved ones. Originally from Josephville, Missouri, Agnes was born on January 19, 1932, to John and Clara Eisenbath.
Agnes was a gifted teacher of 37 years at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School. She was dedicated to her church and community, teaching PSR and working on Main Street in St. Charles as a tour guide and visitor center representative for many years. Agnes was an avid reader, and loved learning and sharing the history of Lewis & Clark and Old St. Charles.
Agnes loved travelling and some of her favorite destinations included Sanibel Island, Cedar Key, New Orleans and Shreveport. In her retirement years, Agnes, was very active and enjoyed golfing, watching Cardinal baseball, gardening and taking long walks with her beloved poodle, Pete, in Frontier Park.
Agnes is survived by her sons, Vern (Patty) Loeffler, Dale (Lisa) Loeffler, and daughter, Linda (Gerry) Schulz; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother and father, brother (Urban Eisenbath), granddaughter (Jennifer Loeffler), first husband (Ralph Loeffler) and husband (Paul Hoffman) and companion (George Vandergriff). Agnes was a loving aunt, great aunt and friend to so many.
