Albert Christian Smith

Smith, Albert Christian, of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the age of 93. Loving husband of Laverne "Bee" Smith NEE Short; dear son of the late Peter C. and Elsie Marie Smith; devoted father of Janeen (Jens) Smith Jorgenson, Stan (Chinh) Smith, Ginger (Tim) Hoover, Michael Smith, Cindy White and Gloria Jordan; beloved grandfather of 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Loudolph, Edward, Martin, Carl, Clarence and George Smith, sister, Mary Holm, wife and mother of children, Lucille "Hubert" Lee, wife; Margie Moore and daughter-in-law, Patty Milana Smith. He was employed as a District Manager with Fuller Brush for 17 years and worked for the last 10 years for his son, Mike with EMASS. He was a WWII Army Veteran having received 3 Bronze Stars for the Tunisian, Naples, Foggia and Rome-Arno Campaigns, a Life Time member of VFW 2866, a member of Harvester Christian Church, and played harmonica at local nursing homes. Memorials may be made to the Benevolent Fund of Harvester Christian Church.
