Albert “Al” Domingorena

Albert A Domingorena 10/26/1936- 4/23/2014 was granted eternal rest with his family at his bedside.Loving husband of Blanca Domingorena (nee Ledesma) for 51 years. Beloved son of the late Rosa M.C. and Alberto Domingorena; devoted father of Daniel Domingorena (fiancée Jennifer Lowery); dear brother of Ernesto Domingorena and brother-in-law of Liliana Ledesma and Fabiana Ledesma; loving uncle of Diego(Marcela), Pablo(Brenda) Domingorena and, Camila and Delfina DeBagge; Great grand-uncle of Gastón, Valentín, Sebastián and Lucia. In 1960 he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1962 he immigrated to the U.S. where he completed his education and built a successful career and life. Albert had a tremendous thirst for knowledge and was an avid reader. He received his MSME from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI(1970) and a MAIB from Webster University, St Louis, MO at age 61. His PE certification was accomplished in KY. Albert had three patents, one implemented into production. He was a member of ASHRAE where he served in various committees. He worked for different companies and various fields, but always seemed to return to refrigeration and heat transfer. He retired from Hussmann in 2003. In his youth Albert played semi-pro soccer, and later on he coached the youth league in Tennessee and the 13-14 year olds in Syracuse, NY, where he always made a point to play everyone regardless of ability. Albert had a quick wit and made others laugh. He knew no enemies and will be missed by many. There will be no formal service following the cremation of his body but a 1-4p.m. gathering at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center 3950 West Clay, St Charles, MO 63301, on Saturday 4/26/14.
