Albert Keene Smith

Smith, Jr. , Albert, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the age of 85. Dear husband of Eddyth Smith (nee: Rosenberg), Dear Son of the late Albert K. Smith Sr. and the late Margarite Smith, Loving Father of Marc (Mary Lee) Smith and Laurel (Robert) Sirtak; Cherished Grandfather of Timothy (Renee) Sirtak and Robert (Christy) Sirtak; Cherished Great-Grandfather of Emily, Lauren and Lexie Sirtak, and Caitlyn, William and Andrew Catanzaro; Dear Brother-in-Law of Joyce Strehlow; He is survived by two nieces and five nephews. He is preceded in death by his two brothers McBain and Wallace Smith. His professional life was spent in service to the physically and mentally ill in communities throughout the United States, including two years as the administrator of the hospital in American Samoa and 24 years at Alton State Hospital in Alton, Illinois.
