Albert William Bahr

Albert fell asleep in Jesus at the age of 92 years. His soul was received by our Heavenly Father into the everlasting mansions of glory.

Albert was born September 7, 1927, in Hastings, NE, the son of Rev. William F.C. and Emma (Boettcher) Bahr. He was baptized on September 25, 1927, at Hastings, NE. He renewed his baptismal vow in the rite of confirmation on August 23, 1941, at Grace Lutheran, Trenton, NE.

Albert served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1948-1952.

Albert was united in marriage to Darlene Adell Wagner on May 10, 1970 at St. John's Lutheran, Effingham, IL, until her death on August 25, 2005. God blessed their marriage with two sons Marcus (Julie) of Town and Country, MO, and Michael (Amber) of Springfield, IL, and one daughter Janella (Rusty) Lingafelter of Edwardsville, IL, and 14 grandchildren.

Albert is survived by his children and 13 grandchildren: Gabrielle, Nathaniel, Josephine, Merciella, Magdalena, and Katharina Bahr; Henry, Eli, Addie, and Andrew Lingafelter; and Alexander, Caroline, and Jack Bahr. He is also survived by brother William (Darlene) Bahr; sisters Arlene Leenerts, Grace (Marty) Schneider, and Virginia Bahr; and sisters-in-law Esther Bahr and Doris Bahr.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers Calvin Bahr, Virgil Bahr, Luther Bahr and Timothy Bahr; sisters Angie Welge and Vivian Bahr; and granddaughter Elizabeth Bahr.
