Dr. Allan Charles Genteman, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of 44 years to Cindy Genteman; cherished son of the late Marion “Fred” and Edna Mae Genteman. Devoted father of Gretchen Genteman, Andrea Genteman, and Brianna Genteman; dear brother of the late Frederick Genteman.
Dr. Allan C. Genteman D.O., F.A.A.S.F.P, F.A.A.G.M. is a 1977 graduate of Kansas City College of Osteopathic medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Genteman is triple board certified. He holds board certifications in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Hospital Medicine.
Allan was chairman of the board of geriatric medicine 1992-2000. He received several awards including, Physician of the year Family Practice Medicine 1992 and Physician of the year Geriatric Medicine 1998. He was Program Director of the AAPS for 9 years and the President of the AAPS from 1999-2000. Allan also participated in Psychometrics study and examination and exam writing for 27 years.
In his free time, Allan was interested in history, military history, Latin and Greek language and scriptures. Allan also had a passion for architecture, agriculture, and all things equestrian. He enjoyed the outdoors working on the farm and collecting antique tractors. Most of all, Allan was a devoted husband and father who will always be remembered for his caring personality and being able to make anyone smile. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Allan's name to American Diabetes Association.
