Allean M. Purl

Allean M. Purl, of O’fallon, MO, passed on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the age of 90. Beloved daughter of the late James E. and Irene C. Purl; cherished aunt of June (Donald) Siress; great aunt of Stephen (Michaela) Siress; treasured great-great aunt of Zachary Siress, Bethany Siress, and Josey Coleman; wonderful cousin and friend to many. Allean is preceded in death by her great nephew, John Mark Siress, and her sisters, Hazel Purl, Vena Lawrence, Elzena Purl, Dorothy Purl, Doris Purl, Mary Jane Purl.
Allean was very involved with church, as she was a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the church choir. She also tutored at Holy Trinity Catholic School. She retired from Curtis-Toledo Inc. after more than 60 years as a cost accountant. She loved volunteering, and was awarded for her dedication of more than two thousand hours at DePaul Hospital as a Volunteer. Allean enjoyed knitting and photography. She was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Dardenne Presbyterian Church.
