Allen D. Firebaugh, of New Melle, MO., passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the age of 62. Born in Toule, France to the late Jeanine Marie Carver and Homer Firebaugh, living most of his life in Granite City, IL., Indianapolis, IN., and St. Louis, MO.
Allen was a loving man who enjoyed every moment he could with his family and friends, whether it was watching movies or 3-Stooges episodes (he owned every one). He was multi-talented and thrived on new challenges. Music was his true passion though. He started playing the guitar at the age of 14 and never stopped. He played the guitar like nobody else, amazing the audience with each stroke of the strings and making the guitar sing, as he so loved.
Allen was a very loving husband to his wife, Janis Firebaugh; devoted father of Sean (Carey) Firebaugh, Brian (Amanda) Firebaugh, Scott (Amber) Firebaugh, Emily (Patrick) Marston, and Ashley (Nate) Norman; loving grandfather of Liam, Adalyn, Ashtynn, Kaylin, Carter, Dylan, Jolene, Charlee, and Kennedi; and dear brother of Dominique Firebaugh, Nancy Cardwell, Monique Firebaugh. Allen was a brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Although he is no longer with us, we will continue to live by his advice, “Watch out for the squirrels, they think you’re nuts!”
Memorials may be made to National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
