Alma Hawkins

Alma M. Hawkins (nee Thebeau), of St. Charles, MO, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, at the age of 93. Loving wife of the late Robert Hawkins; beloved daughter of Peter and Mary Esther Thebeau; devoted mother of the late John Perkins, Jr., Frederick (Deborah) Perkins, Gerald Perkins, and Margaret (William) Waechter; cherished grandmother of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; dear sister of Rose Fischer, Daisy Oberle, and Donald Thebeau. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Alma is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Matthew J. Perkins, Heather Perkins and Lisa Waechter; brothers, Melvin Thebeau, Evertt Thebeau, and Louis Thebeau; sisters, Evelyn Thebeau, Darlene Perkins, and Lily Jarvis.

Alma was member at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was generous, a hard worker, courageous, and strong. Alma had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on her face. She was an amazing caregiver and wonderful cook. Alma enjoyed shopping, bingo, quilt socials, and spending time with her family, especially playing Rummy Cubes with her sisters. She retired from Alco Valves after working there many of years. Alma was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
