(Jack) Kavanagh; cherished grandmother of Matt, Brooke, Elizabeth, Joseph, Laura Hobart, Michael Hobart, Hannah, Graham, Myles, Beth, Rachel, Jimmy, Sasha, Irina, Anna and great grandmother of Carl and Ruby; dear sister of Leland (Dorothy) Gillette, George (Caroline) Gillette, Marshall (Jean) Gillette, Joan (Dallas) Barteau, the late James, Motie, and Robert Gillette and Mary Lou Powers; dear sister-in-law of Clarence (Gill) Blackhurst; survived by loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Blackhurst was a member of the Amiercan Red Cross and the Girl Scouts of America. She was active in the Presbyterian Church, a former president of the Women's Association, a member of the PEO and a quilter at St. Charles Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Blackhurst was also a 1st Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy from January 1942 to November 1945 where she served as a nurse. She continued her nursing career with St. Joseph Health Center where she worked for 30+ years.
