Aloysius “Bud” A. Vomund

Aloysius “Bud” Vomund, of Saint Paul, MO, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the age of 96. Devoted father of Bob Vomund (Debi), Pat Powelson (Mark), Jim Vomund (Sue) and Dennis Vomund.  Cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and their spouses, 28 great-grandchildren and their spouses and 6 great-great grandchildren.  Dear brother of, Katherine Bauer, Ursula Orf, Paul Vomund (Joan), Sr. Michaleen Vomund, Loraine Feldewerth (Dave) and William Vomund (Ruth); and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family.   Bud is preceded in death by his wife Arcella Vomund (Stahlschmidt), sons Fred and Martin Vomund; siblings, Henry, Cecelia (Luetkemeyer), Nicholas, Mary Ann (Kerpash), Joseph and Charles.

Bud proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a very devout Catholic and a man of deep faith.  He was a member of St. Paul Knights of Columbus where he received an award as the longest living member with 78 years of service. He was a farmer, carpenter and head of maintenance at St Dominic High School until his retirement.  He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bud's name to Birthright or St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
