Amanda J. Schaefer

Schaefer, Amanda J. nee: Coleman-Kapeller of Saint Peters, MO, died on Monday, March 16, 2015, at the age of 79. Loving wife of the late Harold Herman Schaefer; beloved daughter of the late Tom and Emma Coleman, and Marcelus and Sylvia Kapeller; devoted mother of Gene (Tanya) Schaefer, Cindy (Garry) Kleekamp, Vickie (Warner) Fencl, Gary (Karen) Schaefer and Sherry Kuchta; cherished grandmother of Cory Schaefer, Michael Kleekamp, Brian Schaefer, Jennifer Kleekamp, Derek (Samantha) Schaefer, Andrew Schaefer, Jaclyn (Jesse Spinks) Kuchta, Kyle Kuchta, Haley Schaefer; treasured great-grandmother of Parker Schaefer; dear sister of Margie Henning, Dorothy  Rowe and David (Dot) Kapeller, and sister-in-law of Gail Coleman, Clarence Gronefeld, Harold and Verna Hackmann, Dorothy Ostmann and Eunice Krause. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Amanda is preceded in death by her siblings Charles Coleman, Jim Coleman, and Betty Meyer.
Mrs. Schaefer was an active member of Friedens UCC and participated in Women's Guild and Quilting. For many years was a member of a bowling team with her friends and always loved shopping and antiquing. Her first job was working at the shoe factory in St. Charles and then became a house wife and worked at Francis Howell Cafeteria.
