Amy “
Grace” Whanger (nee Rhoton), of Bridgeton, MO, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of Randall Whanger for 75 years; cherished daughter of the late Oscar and Roxie Rhoton; devoted mother of David Whanger, Lavinia "Kaye" Sakovich, and Pam (Bob) Borger; loving grandmother of Natasha (Landon) Day and Stephanie Whanger; dear sister of Lloyd (Janeth) Rhoton, the late Doy Rhoton, the late Clodene Buckley, and the late Oma Daum; Grace is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Grace leaves behind a loving and supportive family and many dear friends.
Grace enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing and taking care of people. Grace was a member of Dunn Road Chapel for many years where she taught Sunday School, worked in the nursery, helped publish and mail the church bulletin, and helped with hundreds of church dinners. Grace dedicated her life to God and was baptized on June 19, 1938. Her greatest joy was serving God and loving people. Grace cherished seeing cardinals, butterflies, rocks and seashells. Her house was always open for friends, family and anyone passing through whether they stayed for an afternoon or months at a time. Grace was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Grace's name to
Christian Family Services or
St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
