Cokenour, Anita F. (nee Prunty) of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday August 5, 2018, at the age of 78.
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Cokenour; cherished daughter of the late Chester H. and Wilma Prunty; devoted mother of Scott (Shirley) Cokenour; loving grandmother of Eric W. (Dana) Cokenour, and Kristen (Josh) Russell; treasured great-grandmother of Abigail Cokenour; dear sister-in-Law of Carolyn Busch and Barbara Ann Will; loving aunt of Amy (Mike) Lonergan. Anita is preceded in death by her sister Ivena Young, two Brother-in-Laws, John Cokenour and Gene Cokenour, two Sister-in-Laws, Linda McIntosh and Marilyn Iszler, and her niece Vicki Young and her nephew Brian Young.
Anita was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, and crafting. Anita loved chickens, from her time growing up on the farm. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
The burial will be at Jefferson Barrack National Cemetery at a later date.
